Data - Getting Yourself Organised with Excel
How to organise your data in Excel to save you time and money
“Data is a lot messier and noisier than people want to acknowledge”
Nate Silver
There are steps you can take to become more organised and efficient with your data and if you follow them, you can get it cleaned more quickly and easily - saving you time and money.
When you learn the organisational tips and tricks in this course, you WILL:
How do I know?
This is what you will be learning in Data - Getting Yourself Organised in Excel.
This video course - totalling more than an hour of video lessons - will teach you the anatomy of a good worksheet and why it's important to get these basics right from the start.
It will also teach you the anatomy of a good workbook, and how to build a chronological flow into your data cleaning processes so you can detect when, how and where errors were introduced. This will save you from spending hours trying to find these "new" errors and will save your patience and your eyesight.
Everything is explained in simple language and is perfect for beginners.
If you’re not completely satisfied, come and tell me why you’re not happy and what you feel is missing. If I can’t fix it and make you happy within 30 days I will refund your money IN FULL, and you’ll still keep access to the entire course.
How long is the course?
There are 4 short modules in the course. All materials will be made available to you immediately upon enrolment and you can complete the course at your leisure.
How much time will it take me to complete the course?
The videos last for a little over an hour - but the lessons learnt will stay with you for a lifetime...
How much time will taking the course actually save me?
When I first started analysing data it typically took me about 2 weeks to clean and prepare each dataset.
Getting yourself organised will help you build checks and balances into your data handling so that you begin to learn how to clean your data automatically. Don't be surprised if your data cleaning time is slashed by half after taking this course!
Can I ask questions in the course?
Yes, of course. There is a discussion section in the course where you can ask questions and I will also be available by email.
I am a scientist, not a specialist in data, is this course still good for me?
Yes, it is. Everything is explained in simple terms with the assumption that you're just starting out. The videos, slides, cheat-sheets, etc. will show you all the steps so you can apply them again and again to your data.
What is your refund policy on this course?
If you're not completely satisfied, come and tell me why you're not happy and what you feel is missing. If I can't fix it and make you happy withing 30 days I will refund your money IN FULL, and you'll still keep access to the entire course.
